Telnet to 10.0.0.84 - Cisco 5505 (homenet) at HeadOffice

Type en (press enter) to go into enable mode. Whilst in this mode you can then change anything on the switch so be careful.

To check the status of a port - type;

Show port status

(This will show the status of all cards and ports)

Show port status 4/45

(Depending on what port you want to check)

To Enable a "Error disabled" port

If status is "errdisabled”, you need to re-enable the port. To do this type;

Set port enable 4/45

(Depending on what port you want to enable)

To Changing VLAN on the Swtich - type;

Set vlan ”n” 2/24

(Depending on what port you want to enable for vlan. "n" is the Vlan, number, which are listed below.)

Example

VLAN 5 = Office

VLAN 6 = Test

VLAN 7 = DMZ
